In the industrial sensing sector, conventional above-water displacement sensors have been widely adopted with mature technologies and convenient model selection, and can be found in applications such as iron and steel metallurgy, hydraulic engineering and port machinery. However, when the operating environment extends from above water to underwater, especially working conditions featuring deep water, high pressure and long-term immersion, there are only a handful of truly reliable and durable displacement sensors available. The reason is straightforward: risks including continuous immersion, extreme water pressure and potential leakage in deep-water environments make ordinary products incompetent for such scenarios.
To address the challenges of precision measurement in deep water, Zheda Jingyi has launched a brand-new product — the AS Watertight Displacement Sensor. Specially designed for accurate displacement detection in deep-water environments, it delivers high-precision displacement measurement up to the micrometer level, meeting the demands of automated applications under various harsh underwater working conditions.

Precision Sealing, Eliminate Water Seepage Risks Fundamentally
Deep-water environments feature harsh operating conditions. Long-term immersion may easily cause leakage of sensors and result in damp damage to internal electronic components. Unlike conventional structures relying on sealing rings for waterproofing, the AS Watertight Displacement Sensor adopts an integrally welded fully enclosed housing design. It avoids leakage hazards caused by aging and deformation of sealing rings, and improves product reliability from the structural source.
Meanwhile, a professional watertight cable solution is applied at the cable outlet, tightly blocking seawater intrusion. Featuring corrosion resistance and tensile strength, the sensor operates stably even in complex underwater environments.
8MPa Pressure Resistance, Capable of Withstanding Deep-Water Hydrostatic Pressure
Subsea operations impose external pressure on sensors, and pressure resistance serves as a core indicator of sensor performance. The AS displacement sensor is applicable to deep-water operations within 800 meters and withstands hydrostatic pressure up to 8 MPa, reliably coping with severe deep-water working conditions.
Upgraded Corrosion-Resistant Materials for Seawater Corrosive Conditions
Zheda Jingyi has optimized material configuration in a targeted manner. Both the measuring rod and housing of the AS Watertight Displacement Sensor are made of 316L stainless steel. Compared with conventional 304 stainless steel, 316L contains molybdenum, delivering superior resistance to acid, alkali and seawater salt spray corrosion. It can withstand long-term erosion by seawater salts, effectively preventing housing rusting, material aging and surface pitting damage. The service life of equipment in marine water environments is greatly extended, making it perfectly suitable for severely corrosive conditions including seawater, high salinity and high humidity.

For enclosed mounting scenarios such as underwater hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic equipment, the AS series is equipped with a heavy-duty protective housing, tailor-made for built-in installation inside hydraulic cylinders under harsh environments.
