I. Dual Explosion-proof Options for Different Hazardous Zones
The YBGB series offers two explosion-proof configurations: intrinsically safe type (Ex ia IIC T4 Ga) and flameproof type (Exd IIB T5 Gb), which precisely meet requirements of different hazard levels from working principle to practical application scenarios.
1. Intrinsically Safe Explosion Protection: Inherent Safety, Risk Control at the Source
Core principle: The core concept of intrinsically safe protection lies in energy limitation. Instead of relying on robust housing, it utilizes associated equipment such as safety barriers to restrict the electrical energy entering hazardous areas to a level insufficient to ignite explosive gas. Even if short circuits or open circuits occur on cables, the spark energy generated remains extremely low and cannot act as an ignition source, eliminating ignition risks fundamentally.
Explosion-proof marking: Ex ia IIC T4 Ga
Applicable scenarios: Suitable for hazardous areas with explosive gases (especially Group IIC gases including hydrogen and acetylene), particularly Zone 0 and Zone 1 locations with stringent safety requirements.

2. Flameproof Explosion Protection: Robust Housing for Explosion Containment
Core principle: The design philosophy of flameproof protection relies on containment. High-strength specialized housing fully encloses electronic circuits that may generate sparks or electric arcs. Should an internal explosion occur, the housing can withstand explosion pressure without rupture. Meanwhile, precisely machined flameproof joint gaps cool and block explosive flames and high-temperature gas, preventing ignition of external hazardous atmosphere.
Explosion-proof marking: Exd IIB T5 Gb

Friendly Reminder: Hazardous Area Classification Hazardous areas are classified into Zone 0, Zone 1 and Zone 2 according to the frequency and duration of explosive mixture presence.
